What is included in the price of the tour?

  • All winery tours include transportation to / from your Grand Junction or Fruita location, tasting room fees at three wineries, and expert insight and knowledge from your tour guide. To learn more about the different tour options, please click HERE

  • NOT INCLUDED in the winery tour price is gratuity for your servers / tour guide, or additional wine you would like to purchase at the wineries. A cooler is provided in the tour vehicle to store any items you would like to keep chilled.  Consumption of alcohol in the vehicle is prohibited.

  • Brewery tours include transportation to / from your Grand Junction or Fruita location, a pint or flight at each brewery, and gratuity for your servers. Special insight from brewery staff and tours of the brewhouse are available, based on availability.

  • NOT INCLUDED in the brewery tour price is gratuity for your tour guide, or additional beer you would like to purchase at the breweries. A cooler is provided in the tour vehicle to store any items you would like to keep chilled. Consumption of alcohol in the vehicle is prohibited.

  • Distillery tours include transportation to / from your Grand Junction or Fruita location, a cocktail or flight at three distilleries, and a tour of one distillery.

  • NOT INCLUDED in the distillery tour price is gratuity for your servers / tour guide, or additional spirits you would like to purchase at the distilleries. A cooler is provided in the tour vehicle to store any items you would like to keep chilled. Consumption of alcohol in the vehicle is prohibited.

 

How long do the tours last?

  • Winery tours last between 4 - 6 hours depending on the tour. Click HERE for more information on winery tour types.

  • Brewery tours last approximately 3 - 4 hours. Click HERE for more information on our brewery tours.

  • Distillery tours last approximately 3 - 4 hours. Click HERE for more information on our distillery tours.

 

What should I bring on the tour?

  • For all tours, it is recommended to bring a water bottle, a thirst for knowledge, a full stomach, and a sense of fun and adventure!

  • Tours will take place rain or shine, and Colorado weather can change on a dime. Please check the forecast and dress accordingly.

  • All tour participants should bring a valid form of ID and should expect to be carded prior to consumption of alcohol.

 

Is food available during the tour?

  • Our Imperial Winery Tour includes a gourmet, made-to-order charcuterie board. If you have questions or special diet restrictions, please contact us.

  • Most wineries and breweries have light snacks available to purchase, and some have food trucks on site.

  • All distilleries have food available to purchase on site.

 

Are the tours private?

  • During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we did not offer mixed group tours. Starting in 2023 we will be combining parties on many of our tours. We will continue to evaluate combining parties over time.

  • The maximum number of passengers per tour is 6 people. You can expect mixed group tours will be an educational,  social, and relaxed journey with a small group of other wine, beer, and spirit lovers.

  • We offer mixed group tours for the following tours: Standard Winery Tour, Magnum Winery Tour, Beers of Grand Junction, Distillery Discovery Tour, and Palisade Pour Tour.

  • Our Imperial Winery Tour is a private, exclusive winery tour limited to your party only.

Do tour guides accept tips?

  • Our tour guides do accept tips, and they are greatly appreciated.

  • Tipping is left up to the individual, but as a general practice, 15% - 20% of the total trip cost is the common gratuity.

 

What if I have more than 6 people in my party?

  • In order to provide the most intimate and educational experience possible, group size is limited to 6 guests.

 

Why can’t I be picked up in Palisade?

  • Grand Valley Grapes and Grains Adventures is licensed by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission. Our license does not permit us to pick up passengers from within Palisade. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Where can I stay in Grand Junction?

 

What is your cancellation / refund policy?

  • If a cancellation request is received by Grand Valley Grapes and Grains Adventures at least 48 hours before the tour date, you will not be charged a cancellation fee and your payment will be refunded. If a cancellation request is received by Grand Valley Grapes and Grains Adventures between 48 and 24 hours before the tour date, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the prepayment for the tour. No refund will be issued if the cancellation request is received less than 24 hours in advance of the tour date. 

  • If your full party is not at the designated pick-up location at the pick-up time, no refund will be issued. 

  • Grand Valley Grapes and Grains Adventures accepts no responsibility for cancellations or delays in transportation which are beyond its control, including but not limited to weather, traffic, or road conditions.

  • Grand Valley Grapes and Grains Adventures will issue either full refunds or registration-credit vouchers for future tours in the case of the company cancelling the tour, including but not limited to inclement-weather cancellations when the company deems road conditions to be unsafe for the tour.

 

Are children allowed on the tour?

  • No one under 21 years of age is allowed on any tours.

  • All tour participants should bring a valid form of ID and should expect to be carded prior to consumption of alcohol.

  • Grand Valley Grapes and Grains Adventures is not responsible if a guest is refused service during the tour due to lack of acceptable form of ID or intoxication.

 

Are dogs allowed on the tour?

  • Although we love furry friends, they are not allowed on the tours, except service animals.
